Sketchbook Day: Collage and Create - Sunday 8th February, 10am - 4pm
£72
Spend a creative day with artist and tutor Lichen Davenport, learning how to make your own sketchbook and exploring collage techniques.
This one-day workshop introduces you to the traditional craft of bookbinding using sustainable methods. You will create your own sketchbook from a mix of recycled, textured, and reclaimed papers, learning techniques that transform these materials into a personal sketchbook that will inspire and ignite creativity. You will then be guided through mark-making techniques, including mono-printing, layering colour and texture to create experimental collages within your sketchbook. The focus is on playful exploration and finding new ways to get ideas on paper without the pressure of perfection and have fun with mark-making and drawing within the confines of your own sketchbook.
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners as well as experienced makers looking to spark creativity in a relaxed and informal setting.
Materials will be provided but you are welcome to bring along special papers, photos, postcards, or a cover (A4 size recommended) to personalise your sketchbook and make it truly your own.
