During this fun and relaxed mug-making workshop, Sophie Learmont from Starlingpots Ceramics will help you make your very own ceramic mug (and a little matching pot to pop your teabag/sugar/biscuit in!).

You will learn how to work with the Stoneware clay - known for its durability, natural beauty and tactile quality, to create a beautiful and unique hand built mug. This workshop is perfect for beginners or anyone who's dabbled with clay before, come solo or with a group of friends. You will be hands-on throughout the day shaping your mug, Sophie will then demonstrate several different decorating techniques so you can add your personal touch every step of the way using impressions, coloured slips, underglazes, masking and clay additions. 

At the end of the workshop, your Mug will be carefully dried, bisque fired, clear glazed glaze fired to make it food and dishwasher safe. Get the kettle on - it will be ready to collect from Victoria Works Studios in 4 weeks time.
