Welcome to our creative hub of art studios, workshops and exhibition space. Victoria Works Studios started in 2014 and has grown to be home to a supportive group of artists and artisans. Twenty one working studios are occupied by a range of creative individuals, including ceramicists, painters, printmakers, jewellers, textile artist, a photographer and upholsterer.
It is a decade since the first artists and makers moved into Victoria Works Studios and began the next chapter in the story of this landmark building, and what a chapter it has been! We have taken part in Open Studio trails, put on exhibitions, staged events, and hosted scores of creative workshops, while our residents – some of whom have been with us from the start – have won awards, attracted collectors, and shown their work all over the country. In celebration of all we have achieved, we have put together a very special 10th Anniversary programme for 2024.
Highlights include a series of monthly talks, Words at the Works featuring leading artists, curators and collectors speaking on subjects from beauty to AI; two selling exhibitions filled with new work by both current and former residents; and a one-day artist development day.
